Die casting molds are a major category of molds. With the rapid development of the automotive and motorcycle industries in our country, the die casting industry has entered a new period of growth. At the same time, there are higher demands for the comprehensive mechanical properties and lifespan of die casting molds. To meet the continuously increasing performance requirements, it is still difficult to rely solely on the application of new mold materials; various surface treatment technologies must be applied to the surface treatment of die casting molds to achieve high efficiency, high precision, and long lifespan. Which parts are suitable for precision machining?

Compared to conventional lathes, CNC lathes have the capability of constant linear speed cutting. Whether machining the end face or the outer circle of different diameters, they can process at the same linear speed, ensuring a consistent and relatively low surface roughness value. The speed of a conventional lathe is constant, resulting in different cutting speeds for different diameters. When the materials of the workpiece and tool, the finishing allowance, and the tool angles are fixed, the surface roughness depends on the cutting speed and feed rate.
